10 Years ago Craig and I were married, and somewhere in that first month of marriage I teased him about what our life would be like in 10 years. I talked about a nice anniversary trip, and an addition to my wedding ring, and maybe another kid, our life would be so settled and established, we would eat dinner together every night, and of course have weekly date nights...Then he started medical school and we thought, 4 years really isn't that long... well 10 years later we now know medical school was the easy part. Having 5 kids and completing a residency was the hard part. But here we are. DONE. and it feels good! The kids keep asking if dad is a real doctor now, and they are waiting for something magical to happen... Nothing magical has happened, it took hours and hours of study, work, dedication, and sacrifice, it took Craig many nights of 4 hours of sleep, followed by hour long commutes and 12 hour shifts, It took what felt like a 100 years - but it was hard earned and we are sooooo proud of Craig! Good job babe!
Craig with the director of the program and his wife - they became like family. I know Craig will miss them! and I think they will miss Craig.
With the other residents (who we all know are really thinking, 'sweet, with Craig gone, I'm that much closer to being done!')
The family who were able to come and support Craig at this great milestone.
Some really cute dates Craig found to bring along (over who ever was in charges dead body - no children allowed.)
It was so important to Anna to be here and see and celebrate this event with Craig!
Bekah - who remembers day one of medical school.
Two girls pretty proud of their papa.
Funny side note: the waitress took Bob's plate out from under him - mid bite.
