Date night

Though I wouldn't have minded slightly more comfortable chairs... We had a lovely meal, good conversation and enjoyed each others undivided attention for several hours.

They say you have to be creative to get those dates in so our date was at the hospital... Kaid had his tonsils taken out!

Pre-surgery. His buddy gave him a new DS game and it was the best thing to keep the nerves away.

Post surgery - hugging the ice bag. His favorite camel became a super hero during the surgery (thanks to an anonymous scrub tech or nurse?) and Kaid woke up mad because, "they didn't even take my tonsils out!" We really had to work hard to convince him that they really did do the surgery. I think he was so used to having a sore throat that it felt the same after the surgery as it had before.
Just had to laugh. Apparently the remote has gotten stolen a few times so they got this bad boy (it's a little harder to walk out with in your back pocket)

Overall, it was a great date (though we shared it with a tonsillectomy)
Craig had the entire day off, and we ended the date watching the kids climb the tree while sitting on our fabulous front porch! (yes, that is Kaid out there post surgery - he did awesome)
